Machete, opening September 3rd, has been a film Robert Rodriguez dreamed of making since the 1990s with Danny Trejo, and he finally had the gumption to shoot the flick after the fake Machete trailer in Grindhouse received such a huge response.  Rodriguez also points out that using real guys like Trejo, Jeff Fahey, and Steven Seagal in his film boost Machete’s credibility, and The Expendables is proof that moviegoers love seeing a bunch of tough dudes duke it out.  As for a Machete sequel, well, Click on the media bar to hear the Desperado filmmaker give the details which, if you’re a fan of Danny Trejo, is great, great news.
