Michael J. Fox

Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Emmy winning actor Michael J. Fox is returning to television.  Fox has signed on to the Emmy nominated CBS hit drama, The Good Wife. Producers Robert King and Michelle King told the entertainment news show that Fox will play a “shrewd and cynical” lawyer that is willing to use his neurological condition to gain favor for his client. His character will go head to head with the show’s star, Julianna Margulies.

Michael J. Fox became a household name when he starred on the 80’s classic television show, Family Ties, playing the lovable, conservative Alex P. Keaton. Fox also went on to have a successful film career, starring in movies such as Back To The Future, Doc Hollywood, and The Secret Of My Success.  Fox then returned to television in the mid 90’s, starring in the hit comedy show, Spin City.

Although he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991, Fox publicly announced his condition in 1999 and has since been one of the leading figures to find a cure for this debilitating, life threatening disease.

In recent years, Fox has guest starred on various television shows such as Rescue Me and Boston Legal.  We are happy to see Fox back on television.  Not only is he a great actor, he is an inspiration to us all.

The season premiere of The Good Wife airs on Tuesday September 28th on CBS.
