“(it) was not cool,” Jennifer Aniston told GMA about discovering that she and other eccentric people were reportedly bilked for $280,000 on their credit cards. Maria Gabriella (the skin artist) Perez, who runs the Chez Gabriela Studio in Beverly Hills where stars pay lots of money so that the mirror looks better, was arrested on federal fraud charges, TMZ reports. Even the U.S. Secret Service arrived at the boutique carrying out boxes of alleged evidence.
Other beautiful people named in the affidavit filed in U.S. District Court reportedly included Liv Tyler, Melanie Griffith, Anne Hathaway and Cher.
While everyone but the marines were gleaning things from Gabriella’s shop, her attorney said that his client did nothing wrong. Meanwhile, Aniston said “I knew something like this would eventually happen because there’s no way you can get away with that.”
No comment on whether the star victims gave their credit card numbers over the phone because the scammer said that they were ‘lucky numbers’ and would get ‘magic beans’ for planting ‘giant beanstocks.’
