Sheena Fadeh couldn’t hide her feelings of disappointment with getting eliminated from Masterchef (Wednesdays, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on FOX).

“I did not think it was my time,” she says.

Fadeh knew her cooking wasn’t as inconsistent as others in the competition, but accepted her fate – with dissatisfaction written all over her face.

“Well I was, how could I not be?” she asks. “I have an expressive face, so it’s hard for me to hide the way that I feel. I’m a terrible liar. But, I think it was a mistake. There were people who made two mediocre dishes in a row or two bad dishes in a row for that matter who got to stay. I made one great dish and one mediocre dish and was made to leave. I kind of think I was made an example of.”

Still, Fadeh would do it all again in a heartbeat, though she admits that participating in a competition like this could easily skim the joy right out of cooking.

“Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t get to continue because it’s something that I love,” she says. “When you do something you love and it’s a passion and then you get put in a situation where you have to be competitive and nasty for this thing that you love, it’s not a great feeling. It’s not something I really want to be doing.”

Fadeh is now taking acting classes and is moving forward to embark on a career in show biz – that doesn’t involve cooking.
