We had no intention of giving the fair city of Carterville an international black eye (although the biker gang that invaded Holister, California 63 years ago was hardly Holister's fault). The Carterville name was actually in the lead of the Associated Press release, and no other municipality was mentioned. The WSIL TV station report (that the AP attributed) did say that the knife stabbing took place in Hog Rock Campgrounds. The story has since been updated. Had we been truly lazy then we likely would have been recruited by the New York Times. Thank you for your criticism.
