The Jersey Shore’s lovable little grotesque, Snooki (legally unknown as Nicole Polizzi), after sober reflection from her arrest and brief lock-up for (drunk and) disorderly conduct, said that “I’m definitely going to stop drinking during the daytime.”  The swearing off of strong spirits from daybreak to twilight came at a MTV press event yesterday in Los Angeles, where Snooki said that she was going to take the pledge because her proud father was “very, very pissed.”

Snooki carefully detailed the events a week ago at the Seaside Heights boardwalk, telling us heartless reporters, who only thought we’d heard everything, “Well, obviously it wasn’t a good time but - you know, I didn’t hear anybody and I just went out to have a good time on the beach and - you know, stuff like that happens in Jersey.  I know I didn’t hear anybody and - I was in the drunk tank for a little bit.  I had too many Tequilas - I mean, what are you gonna do?”  Oh-ma’GAWD; Whateverrrrr!

As the interview groped, Snooki meandered from what-were-you-thinking, to it-could-happen-to-you, saying  “I’m not a criminal.  It’s just a drunken mistake.”  Had the conference lasted another minute she might have pleaded innocent by blaming the devil.  Or the press corps.
