Congratulations to Sister, Sister actress Tamera Mowry and her longtime honey, Fox News Channel national and international correspondent, Adam Housley. The pair got engaged last week while vacationing in Venice, Italy.

The couple has been together for nearly five years and are both excited about the future. The news was confirmed by Mowry: “Yes, Adam Housley and I are engaged and yes for the FIRST time. He popped the question in Venice, Italy. I am beyond thrilled and feel so blessed to have him in my life. Not only is he my love but also my best friend.”

Why the odd reference to the engagement being the “first time?” There have been a number of rumors suggesting that the couple had been engaged before…not true, they tell us. Another accusation was that Mowry’s twin sister, Tia was at odds with Housley, which was causing a rift in the family…also false.

To address the rumors, the couple released this picture with an additional statement from Mowry’s parents, Timothy and Darlene Mowry: “My husband and I were very shocked to hear the rumors surrounding our daughter Tamera Mowry and her fiance Adam Housley’s engagement! We want to set the record straight.  We love Adam Housley and love him being a part of our family. He is a wonderful person and has a wonderful heart.  We have always admired Adam and we are so excited to have him now as our son-in-law.”
