Comic Con is well underway with more and more news breaking from the yearly fan event in San Diego, California.
Latest info: Will Eisner’s graphic novel, A Contract with God is being adapted for the big screen as a live-action pic.
A Contract with God is considered to be one of the most influential graphic novels ever written as Eisner uses the comic book format to explore stories and memories from his own childhood growing up in a New York City tenement.
Should be an interesting take on the quartet of chapters. Four separate directors - with distinct visions - are slated to helm each of the novel’s adjoining chapters: Alex Rivera (Sleep Dealer); Tze Chun (Children of Invention); Barry Jenkins (Medicine for Melancholy); and Sean Baker (Prince of Broadway, MTV’s Warren the Ape).
Production on A Contract with God is set to begin in 2011.
