Actor Steve Carell likens his villainous character “Gru” to “Hannibal Lecter” from The Silence of the Lambs. And while “Lecter” loves eating people with a nice bottle of chianti, “Gru” has more ambitious goals (trying to steal the moon is a pretty huge goal).
