The odds were against The Karate Kid beating out The A-Team at the box-office during its June release, but less than a month later, the flick has grossed over $164 million and is this summer’s sleeper hit.  The Karate Kid Taraji P. Henson, aka the Oscar nominee from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, did not hesitate in making a remake of the 1980s flick, since she believed she was in good hands with producer Will Smith.  Taraji talks about taking The Karate Kid job, a journey she likens to her own decision to move to Los Angeles.
