Fans of So You Think You Can Dance had better get a thick skin according to Executive Producer and Judge Nigel Lythgoe.

Viewers may think those judges are being exceptionally hard on the contestants, but Lythgoe points out that it is nothing compared to the real dance world where choreographers take no prisoners.
