VLSM: I am a platinum Archie myself. Just wanted you to know that I have his albums, have gone to his concerts and bought his book as well. Nice to know that their are many platinum “archies” out there, too, maybe not so vocal, but trust me they are there. Go David!

I saw David in concert this past weekend in Rexburg and he never fails to stun me with his talent. I love his uptempo songs but when he sings songs like Be Still My Soul…the audience was absolutely still. Love the emotion he brings to his music and love that he stays true to himself. That is inner strength.

People who didn’t follow him after Idol 7 thought his career was over. On the contrary, life has become busier for this amazing young man. After AI tour, it was almost non-stop work for him: almost double platinum single, successful debut album, sold-out solo tour, UK tour with McFly, Asian tour, mega-concert in Manila with David Cook, summer tour with Demi Lovato, a magnificent Christmas album, numerousTeen Choice Awards, ALMA breakout artist award and other awards, NY Times bestselling memoir, upcoming new single and 2nd pop album, numerous media appearances, charity work for many causes, etc. to name a few. All these accomplishments and he still is one of the most humble, grounded, kindest young man you’ll ever meet. He is a very special and unique person and celebrity and his ever-devoted fanbase all over the world loves him for that aside from his music and vocal abilities.

I’m a platinum grandma and a big fan of David!
I have read his book and highlighted all the inspirational parts that I re-read when I am down.
He is gifted but remains humble and sweet. I hope GOOD artists (voice and persona) will be truly appreciated because I seem to notice people go for the glam and more so if there is a scandal in-between.

David’s done very well. He works hard too. Seems like he spends half his life on an airplane or in a tour bus. And he often gets up at 5AM or earlier for radio and TV interviews. I am excited about his upcoming single and fall 2010 album. Loved his book too. BTW all David released a new book signing date - July 7 at 12PM at Deseret Books in Las Vegas NV (Henderson area). I hope he adds some more. It’s a great way for fans to meet him. And I’m looking forward to David singing the National Anthem on A Capitol Fourth from the lawn of the Capitol building in DC. The show will be broadcast on PBS TV stations.

This kid is amazing. He has shown variety of talents in the short span of two years after the Idol. I heard that after the third album (pop) which is planned to be out in the fall, a Spanish album will be in his agenda. He is also honored to perform at the annual “A Capitol Fourth” celebration in DC, live on PBS. Unlike so many flash in the pan singers, he is building his career for the long term.

I read Archuleta’s book and it is written in simple words but very honest and sincere. You know that he wrote it himself. I am sure he had someone there to help him organize his thoughts and make sure the grammar and punctuation works on every page. But there is no doubt the words came from him. Anyway, I think because he is a very thankful person, he really works very hard. Nothing is given to him on a silver platter. Yes, he was given this huge talent but that is only a fraction of his success. He really is the product of hard work and perseverance on top of his fierce passion for music.

By the way, I really like that spanish song you mentioned here. He has new songs posted on youtube. I am liking them and they’re getting stuck in my head these last couple of days.
