He once was “delirious” for it, but don’t expect Eddie Murphy to hit the boards once again and do stand-up.  This A-list actor has a definitely Hollywood game plan; star in the occasional excellent film (48 Hrs, Beverly Hills Cop, DreamGirls, The Nutty Professor), pin your coattails to an ogre named “Shrek,” and mix it up with a slew of other highly paid, forgettable exercises in futility (The Haunted Mansion, Meet Dave, Metro, Norbit, Showtime and the list goes on and on..).  Even though Murphy does get a bit wistful for his stand-up days, one wonders if the 49-year-old still has the hunger to take the leap.  (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR BELOW TO HEAR EDDIE MURPHY)
