Shrek Forever After is still raking in the dough at the box office in its second week out. The animated sequel nabbed an additional $43.3 million, but that figure is sure to go higher once the holiday revenue on Monday is factored in. The pic dropped a modest 38.8 percent and since its debut last week – and so far the flick has amassed a total of $133 mil…inching closer to the $165 million production costs.

Sex and the City 2 is a strong second place contender with $46.3 million since its Thursday debut…$32.1 million of that brought in between Friday and Sunday. However, with nearly 1000 less theaters than Shrek, the movie is proving that Sex the second time around is still smoldering.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time nabbed $30.1 million. Strong numbers yes, but considering its $200 million budget, it’s a bit disappointing.

Check back tomorrow for the full holiday box office numbers.
