The competition is over and in America’s hands now, but both Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox gave it their all on American Idol, Tuesday night. Their nerves are back under control and both admit they had a blast stepping out on that stage.

For Bowersox, her family kept her plugging away, but she admits that having Simon Cowell deliver his final critique directed at her before leaving the show, was an privilege that will stay with her forever.

“I feel honored,” she gushes. “He’s been an amazing force on the show. And everything he does in the future I wish him well.”

DeWyze knows he’s taken a giant step toward his future and no matter who wins Idol, he’s committed to his music.

“I’m proud of myself,” he begins. “To be able to have this experience and have people be involved with it in such a way where they can actually go through it with you, and support you, it’s an amazing feeling.”
