Vanessa Williams didn’t wait for moss to grow under her feet after the cancellation of Ugly Betty. The actress is joining the cast of Desperate Housewives come the fall.

According to ABC, Williams will play a housewife who’s sure to shake things up in the neighborhood and wreck havoc in the lives of the women who live there.

We at HollywoodOutbreak.com know what a bad mama Williams was as Wilhemina on Ugly Betty and we’re hoping she’ll whip up a frenzy on Wisteria Lane, too.

Desperate Housewives airs Sundays, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
