Here’s an epic pairing – Steven Spielberg (Jaws, Jurassic Park) and J.J. Abrams (Lost, Star Trek) are teaming up for a project entitled Super 8.

It’s an idea they cooked up from conversations between them about their early moviemaking experiences.

Though details are still hush-hush, the Hollywood Reporter is offering up a few tidits.

Namely, Abrams wrote the script and will direct the feature beginning in the fall for a summer 2011 release. Spielberg is producing the pic and the budget is said to be in the $40 to $50-million range. And, naturally, it will be creepy.

Could we expect anything less from these two men?

Wanna check out the teaser? The 90-second trailer will precede the Iron Man 2 feature in theaters. But, it won’t give the store away. Abrams, who shot the trailer separate from the pic, is oh so careful not to divulge too much.
