We won’t find out exactly what will happen to Jaime Lee Kirchner’s character Nurse Sonia Jimenez at the end of season one on Mercy, but the storyline will inch closer to a resolution.

Sonia helped her private patient, Mrs.Kempton (Kelly Bishop) kill herself after the woman announced she planed to do the deed with or without her assistance.

Now a family detective is on her tail, and it’s looking more and more like Sonia could do time. But, not before she ends up connecting (in a bad way Kirchner tells us) with her former patient’s son Paul Kempton (David Call).

Still, that’s not the only cliffhanger coming. Kirchner says we’ll be stunned by the developments that include Nurse Chloe Payne (Michelle Trachtenberg) and even the new, snotty Dr. Joe Briggs (James Van Der Beek). But, as for Sonia, Kirchner says it’ll be emotional…and we will need tissues.
