Here we are at the start of May, which usually means the start of the summer movie blockbusters.
But forget this summer and even next Summer’s movies. The summer of 2012 looks like it will be one of the biggest ever for movies.
Warner Bros. announced today that the sequel to The Dark Knight will be released in the Summer of 2012. Christopher Nolan returns to direct, which makes it a safe bet that Christian Bale will be back as well. But that’s not the only blockbuster set to be released in the Summer of 2012. Stay tuned for Marvel Comic’s epic movie The Avengers which teams Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor and Captain America, the sequel to Star Trek (set to be released June 29, 2012) and the reboot of Spider-Man.
These hot movies slated for 2012 reminds us of the Summer of 2008, which brought us The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. We at Hollywoodoutbreak.com think the summer of 2012 will be one of the best summers in movie history.
