Twenty-year-old R&B singer Jason Derulo is riding high thanks to his recent American Idol performance, but he first gained a little fame with the standout single “Whatcha Say,” which sampled the Imogean Heap track “Hide and Seek.”  Derulo, who was essentially discovered by Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, elaborates on his songwriting process.
