Alex O’Loughlin can only dream to have the success of his fellow Aussies Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman, and so far he’s had a decent career on television. Starting off on The Shield, O’Loughlin then tried his hand at headlining two shows (Moonlight, Three Rivers), and both met an early demise. He plays Jennifer Lopez’s main squeeze in the romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan (opening Friday) and he is also heading back to TV in a remake of Hawaii Five-O. Although trying to fit into Jack Lord’s shoes as Detective Steve McGarrett is downright impossible, O’Loughlin is still getting work. One wonders why Hollywood loves their Aussie men. For the record, Alex wasn’t the reason for those shows dying. Moonlight had big behind the scenes problems and Three Rivers simply had bad timeslots and catered to a too small range of watchers.
Alex is extremely talented and even the bigger producers are starting to take notice of him.

Being completely unknown and suddenly being famous is like hitting the lottery. Not to mention having a sex scene with Jlo…

Alex is the best thing to happen to the acting world in a LONG tme…..how many new great actors, performers, caring and compassionate, humrous actors do we have out there all wrapped up in Alex. I’m no teenager but someone who has seen many years of movies and tv He cares about everyone and is so givng and kind to his fans and everyone he meets . I know he can’t be perfect, but if CBS doesnt get their act together and ;pass a good story like Hawaii Five0 into his capable hands. they are beyond stupid. His fans will be heartbroken and so will he. Love Suzanne His Forever Fan
