The TV Land Awards pays tribute to the hit series of the past, but it also recognizes the casts that made those shows so memorable. So, it’s not surprising that Charlie’s Angels legend, Farrah Fawcett would receive special recognition. The actress died in June of ’09 after a battle with cancer.

Her longtime romantic partner, Ryan O’Neal was there for the event, but he told HollywoodOutbreak.com that it was bittersweet and he was steeling himself for what was sure to be an emotional night.

O’Neal admitted he still communicates with his beloved “everyday,” adding, “I write to her in my journal.”
