The Expendables is Sylvester Stallone’s latest stab at cinematic relevance, and this time out he has Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, and Dolph Lundgren getting his back. Directed by Sly, the movie centers on a group of mercenaries who, you guessed it, go on a suicide mission for a greater cause!! Basically, if you’re a fan of The A-Team, The Dirty Dozen, Chuck Norris’ Missing in Action movies, and Stallone then The Expendables could be your cup of tea. Plus, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis make cameos! Opening nationwide August 13th, The Expendables looks like a box-office smash, if it was released back in the ‘80s.
