Bones is about to celebrate its 100th episode with a flashback to when Booth, Bones and the gang at the Jeffersonian Institute all met – a show directed by series star David Boreanaz.

For those of us keeping score, TJ Thyne, who plays Jack Hodgins on the show, reminds us that his character is financially loaded – an heir to a mega fortune. It turns out that Hodgins is secretly the boss of all the employees at the Jeffersonian. Who knew? And it’s that storyline Thyne would like to see developed further.

He also wants to see his on again, off again relationship with Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) stay more on than off and Thyne vows never to stop trying to woo her. And apparently he’ll head closer to that with an episode that revolves around jail. But, it was because of the two actors that they hooked up in the first place, Thyne tells us. Both Conlin and Thyne knew instinctively it was the right direction for Hodgins and Angela.

Off the set all the actors are really friends and actually hang out with each other according to Thyne. He tells HollywoodOutbreak.com they have dinner parties, support a number of charities and make movies together. And Thyne seems to be the instigator of the filmmaking. He studied film in college and spends much of free time honing his skills financing his shorts and features.

And it’s his day job that allows him the time and resources to do mini flicks. Thyne is grateful to the net for sticking with the show, which got off to a slow start. Now they’re seeing their best ratings five years in averaging roughly 10 million viewers per episode.
