There will be two less episodes of Two and a Half Men this season. At least that’s the word from the New York Times, who got the info directly from Men’s Executive Producer Chuck Lorre.

Why? Because series star, Charlie Sheen is doing a stint in a rehabilitation center for what his spokesman called a “preventative measure.”

Neither Warner Bros or CBS offered comment on the report or Sheen’s rehab, but Lorre told the newspaper that, “Instead of going 24 shows this year, we’ll be doing 22.”

Twenty-two episodes is a full order, but the producers were asked to shoot an additional two, which is something they usually do.

As it stands right now, the sitcom is expected to wrap production for the season in April.

Two and a Half Men is a ratings powerhouse for the network averaging 14.9 million viewers on Monday nights.
