American Idol singer Michael Lynche is one of the top 12 finalists on the show (airing tonight on Fox at 9 pm et/pt), and his experience on the program has been emotional.  During the Hollywood auditions, Lynche became a father and he also explains how an important member of his family inspired him to become a singer.
