Betty White is set to host Saturday Night Live on May 8th of this year.

White has had a career that spans 65 years and is probably best known as Rose Nylund, the ditzy yet loving member of The Golden Girls and as Sue Ann Nivens, the overtly sexual host of a local cooking show in The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

The actress has proven her comedy skills many times over, but most recently in the Super Bowl commercial for Snickers chocolate bars.

At 88 years young, White will be the oldest person to ever host SNL. Before her Miskell Spillman took the stage after winning the Anyone Can Host contest at the age of 80-plus years old and actress Ruth Gordon was the second oldest at 80 years old. Both women appeared in 1977.
