One of this TV season’s most pleasurable surprises is Modern Family, and relative unknown Ty Burrell has gained his share of attention as family man Phil Dunphy, whose wife Claire Dunphy is played by the all too charming actress Julie Bowen (if you want to check their innate chemistry, check out the hilarious episode “My Funky Valentine”).  Burrell talks about the joy of playing Phil on the comedy, which airs tonight on ABC at 9 pm et/pt.
