
Up in the Air stars George Clooney as Ryan Bingham, a professional hatchet man who travels the country firing people. When his own company begins cost cutting and limiting his travel schedule, Bingham convinces his bosses to have the woman in charge of downsizing accompany him on the road. The movie received multiple Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Actor for Clooney and Supporting Actress for both Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick.

The Stoning of Soraya M. is not an easy film to watch. Set in 1966 Iraq, the film centered on Sahebjam (Jim Caviezel), a man whose car breaks down in a remote village. A conversation begins between Sahebjam and Zahra (Shohreh Aghdashloo), who tells him the story about her niece, Soraya (Mozhan Marnò), whose arranged marriage to a tyrant has a disastrous ending.
