What A Lovely & powerfully moving Life story.. made of the real thing..Courage/Commitment to Family & Perseverance to know the Truth about ones self & the Journey that took place before.
I have longed to know my family history as I am 1st generation French as well as my granfather (from Poland ) that I never met. My Mother & French Grandmother that raised my sister & I were from Le Havre,Normandie.I grew up knowing TOO much about both WWI & II. However, it has given me the strength to always want to keep my energy clean with Loved ones & Lovers as Life is fragile & we never know what is around the corner. What a joy for you & Your Father & his cousin & their family to be reunited on so many levels. This is a profound thing that you have done & I am more Inspired than ever to pursue the task of finding my roots. I was always the one in my family that wanted to know everything about the past generations, which is not always an easy story to hear. I am an Artist & have felt connected to Music as well many times as though it was in my blood, but not necessarily from immediate family of Origin.I was very moved by the things you discovered. Although my Mother was raised Roman catholic, somehow I’ve felt deep inside me that there is way back some Jewish roots on the Polish side from Lodz.this is where my granfather was from..Saw something on the Gnome (Sp) that was Amazing.. If you have any ideas how to go about this journey of searching ones family roots I would appreciate knowing. One last thing My Mother married an American soldier in France after the war & came over by boat to Ellis Island, but I never heard her speak his name & she has been passed away now over 20 yrs. Any ideas how I could trace that to find the name (her married name at the time ) when she landed in NY & ofcourse her signature would be there.. this was not my father. Thank you for your Inspiration and to your father as well. Wonderful to see the tenderness between the two of you on TV tonite.

What timing! 18 months ago I discovered I have different DNA that what I had thought! It has been life changing. A new Dad has entered my life and has helped uncover some family mysteries. I wasn’t even looking for a new DNA - I was actually searching for older siblings given up for adoption - I have found 2 out of 3 and I am meeting one the end of this month. I knew we all had the same mother (who passed away 26 years ago) but didn’t know 2 out of the 3 of us are full blood siblings. I would love to have some assistance in tracing our family history back not only for me, but now for my siblings. I truly believe there are no coinsidences. Hoping you can help.

After doing research on my family history for about 15 years I was really disappointed in the show.
It would have been more interesting to give some idea of how the research was done instead of Sara J Parker just sitting there saying “Oh my God! and Un-be-lieve-able.
Its alot of work doing family history and I wish a little more would have been in there about how the research is done.

I have written a manuscript , “Sleeping with Satan”, re:
the Salem witch-hunt. Tonight’s program re: Ester, the
great-great grandmother of Sarah Jessica Parker was amazing,
and ,historically correct. The court was disolved in Oct.1692
because the governor’s wife, Lady Mary Phips had been accused.

As an avid member of Ancestry.com, a history buff, and an author, I love this sort of investigation. To know one’s history is know the pathway into the future. I too have been amazed at the results of my American heritage. I have found presidents, first ladies, signers of the Declaration of Independence, Royalty, and a few characters like Frank James, Butch Cassidy and others. Most interesting to be sure, so keep up this fascinating program for those of us who are curious about our past.
