
Shutter Island is the creepy thriller from Director Martin Scorsese and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as U.S. Marshall Teddy Daniels, who is investigating the disappearance of an incarcerated murderess, who seems to have escaped from the cooler and is thought to be hiding out on Shutter Island. The drama is based on the novel by Dennis Lahane and is set in the 1950s. Scorsese is the master of this sort of film and if you like a spine-chilling flick, this will probably do.

The Ghost Writer stars Ewan McGregor as a man hired to complete the memoirs of a prime minister. Problem is his research uncovers secrets that put his life in jeopardy. Roman Polanski, who is the creative mind behind the horror pic, Rosemary’s Baby, directed the film.

Blood Done Sign My Name is the true story of Henry Marrow a black, Viet Nam era vet who murdered in rural North Carolina by Robert Teel and his sons. Teel is eventually acquitted by an all-white jury, despite eyewitnesses to the crime.
