Ellen Degeneres – the American Idol judge – is different than the woman on The Ellen Degeneres Show. Still, that’s not because anyone’s forcing opinions on her about technique.
Degeneres decided for herself what to and what not to say to the contestants and is confident that if she’s completely out of whack from the program, the producers will reign her in.
The talk show host also has advice for the contestants trying out for the show: get over it. The actual business is far more critical and in order to survive a thick hide is necessary.
