We’ve heard it all before - a fourth installment of the Mad Max movie franchise is close at hand. Right? Well, not so fast says Mel Gibson, who originated the role of the vigilante cop back in 1979.

The actor was associated with the fourth project early on, but saw it crumble before his eyes. Still all is not lost, Gibson insists. He believes if anyone can make it happen it’s Max Producer/Director/Writer, George Miller.
