On this day in 1957, UNITED ARTISTS released the big screen adaptation of the AGATHA CHRISTIE classic, WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION. Directed by BILLY WILDER and featuring an all-star cast that included TYRONE POWER, MARLENE DIETHRICH, CHARLES LAUGHTON, ELSA LANCHESTER, JOHN WILLIAMS and RUTA LEE, the film remains brilliant to this day.
