On this day in 1937, WALT DISNEY PICTURES released SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS. Considered the first full-length animated feature, the movie nearly bankrupt DISNEY while making this labor-of-love but ultimately the gamble paid off and cemented UNCLE WALT’S reputation as a filmmaker.
