
The new STARZ series SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND is a retelling of the classic story of a Roman gladiator who makes a place for himself in history by leading a massive slave revolt. Inspired by the sex and violence of graphic novels and the film 300, the series has taken a lot of heat for its nudity and bloodletting. A few weeks ago, at the TCA press conference for the show, producer STEVEN DeKNIGHT addressed concerns that the series might be a bit much for a TV audience. Listen in below:
