sullivans-travels1On this day in 1942, Paramount Pictures celebrated the NYC release of SULLIVAN’S TRAVELS. This PRESTON STURGES classic  tells of a spoiled, rich director of escapist films (JOEL McCREA) who masquerades as a hobo to learn about the poor and homeless. Written and directed by STURGES and featuring stellar performances by VERONICA LAKE, WILLIAM DEMAREST, FRANKLIN PANGBORN and ROBERT GREIG, this film is as relevant now as it was then.
