On this day in 1939, RKO Radio Pictures released GUNGA DIN, one of the greatest buddy/adventure movies of all time. Set in British India during the Thuggee uprising and starring CARY GRANT, VICTOR McLAGLEN and DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS JR., the film proved that war is wacky fun and only the brown die young.
