Gad! Oscar nominations are just a week away and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has just announced that Anne Hathaway will be joining Academy President, Tom Sherak to help with the early morning announcement.

This is the first year that 10 films will be in contention for the Best Picture award and that will be one of 10 categories (out of 24) that will be read off that day.

Hathaway knows precisely how the contenders feel. Just last year she was nominated in the Leading Actress category for her performance in Rachel Getting Married. She is also a member of the Academy.

The nominations will be announced Tuesday, February 2nd at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences beginning 5:30 a.m. PT.

The Academy Awards will commence March 7th, from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California and broadcast live on ABC.
