Movie legend, Sophia Loren, learned the true meaning of torture from Director Rob Marshall on the set of the musical Nine.

 Loren stars as Mamma in the flick, which is about a self-centered filmmaker who searches for answers and a good script from his wife, mistress, muse and mother.

Sounds pretty tough, but not near as demanding as working on the musical itself – especially with a perfectionist like Marshall.

Loren says the director was relentless in getting what he wanted on camera.
