On this day in 1980, COMPASS INTERNATIONAL PICTURES released BLOOD BEACH. Directed by JEFFREY BLOOM from his own story and screenplay, this low-budge splatter fest has achieved cult status over the years. Headlining the cast are BURT YOUNG and JOHN SAXON with awkward assists from DAVID HUFFMAN, MARIANNA HILL, OTIS YOUNG and MICKEY FOX. Strangely, BLOOD BEACH is as much fun now as it was back in the day.
