Today fans will have the opportunity to say goodbye to Teddy Pendergrass who died January 13th from color cancer at the age of 59.
A public viewing of the legendary soul singer is being held in Philly from noon to 8:00 p.m., allowing for plenty of time for his fans to pay their respects.
He was diagnosed with the disease last year and after a long illness finally succumbed to the cancer.
Pendergrass was at the top of his game until a car accident in 1982 broke his neck and left him paralyzed from the waist down.
A private viewing and memorial service for invited guests will take place on Saturday beginning 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (viewing) with 10:00 a.m. to noon earmarked for the memorial.
