On this day in 1977, WALT DISNEY STUDIOS released one of it’s all-time classic family comedies, FREAKY FRIDAY.

JODIE FOSTER and BARBARA HARRIS star as a daughter and mother who wake up to discover they’ve switched bodies and are about to have a very freaky friday. Directed by GARY NELSON from the popular book by MARY RODGERS, this 1977 original continues to shine brighter than the anemic 1995 remake with LINDSAY LOHAN and JAMIE LEE CURTIS.
