In the upcoming LASSE HALSTROM film, DEAR JOHN, AMANDA SEYFRIED and CHANNING TATUM play star-crossed lovers separated for years by the war and staying connected only through sporadic meetings and a continuous stream of love letters. Based on the best-selling novel by NICHOLAS SPARKS (THE NOTEBOOK), the film is aimed directly at the tear ducts and succeeds in spades.
