On this day in 1971, MARAN FILMS released THE PROJECTIONIST. Directed by HARRY HURWITZ from his own story, this barely seen comedy was propelled to underground cult status largely by word of mouth. Starring in the titular role is comic actor CHUCK McCANN in a simple story of a movie projectionist whose fantasy life takes over his reality. McCANN is an absolute delight in this.
