So sad…the sixth and final season of Lost is about to premiere and fans can expect to have answers unfolding throughout the coming weeks. What producers will not promise is wriggle room for future shows.

Despite the rich characters on Lost, there are no plans for a spinoff - the show’s Executive Producer, Carlton Cuse insists. The strategy is to tie up the loose ends, explain what the heck is going on and leave viewers with a sense of satisfaction at the end of the series. How the blazes do you do that with a cliffhanger? You can’t…with any measure of integrity.

Besides, Evangeline Lilly points out, shooting a series of this magnitude in the jungle area of Oahu, is so demanding that the cast is looking forward to much-needed R&R.
