On this day in 1966, Rock and roll TV variety show Shindig on ABC airs its last episode. The show had debuted in September 1964, featuring acts including the Everly Brothers, the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys, and others. NBC launched a similar show, Hullabaloo, in January 1965, which ran until August 1966.
