Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson is starring as the most unlikely tooth fairy ever in the comedy – named appropriately - The Tooth Fairy.
Actually, Johnson is a minor-league hockey player in the pic who is slapped with a tough sentence after discouraging a young fan - serving one week as a real tooth fairy.
It’s not the first time the big, burly actor has taken on the title role in a family film, but considering he gained fame as a WWE wrestler, wings and a wand just seems wrong.
Still, it’s a path he’s chosen deliberately and it’s exactly how Johnson saw his movie career unfolding. Besides, he’s the first to defend the worth of family films. He’s in good company too, The Tooth Fairy co-stars Julie Andrews, Billy Crystal and Ashley Judd.
