On this day in 1988, VESTRON PICTURES released AND GOD CREATED WOMAN. Directed by legendary French filmmaker ROGER VADIM, this was an attempt to remake his minor 1956 classic of the same name. Unfortunately, his casting of the rather ordinary REBECCA DeMORNAY in the role originated by the extraordinary BRIGITTE BARDOT didn’t do much to regenerate excitement in the project. Pretty bad by any standard.
