Well, wow!…We’re a little late to the party on the latest JANE CAMPION film, BRIGHT STAR, but so glad we’ve finally caught up. ABBIE CORNISH and BEN WHISHAW play doomed lovers FANNY BRAWNE and poet JOHN KEATS in what is one of the most quietly dynamic films of this year’s awards season. A tragic love story of the finest kind with performances that both move and surprise the audience. It’s not exactly a lock but we wouldn’t be surprised to hear one of these names on Oscar nomination day. We spoke with WHISAW recently about the film and he talked about the “crash course” he got in KEATS after hearing that he got the role. (Click on the media bar below for audio):
